The hallmark of our call to service is quality of purpose and execution. We subscribe to high standards and practices that empower and elevate communities of color in Central Brooklyn.
Our History

Parent Leadership
The Adelaide L. Sanford Institute (ASI) believes that removing the barriers that prevent all of our children from accessing a high-quality public education is an essential step to achieving access to the economic, social, and political resources that are needed to support strong families who live in a global society. ASI also recognizes that to accomplish this goal, there must be a deliberate and focused effort to build community awareness and strong partnerships with families and community leaders. Research findings and experiential evidence are clear: When parents are well-informed and actively engaged, their children are successful in school.
